Friday's Cleaning Tip: Cleaning Your Child's High Chair

A child's high chair can get very gross and disgusting after a while. No matter how diligent you may be at cleaning after feedings, food and other baby messes seem to get stuck in all of the nooks and crannies of the high chair over time. So, you can take your entire high chair and put it it in the tub/shower to clean it. Use basic dish detergent, let the shower stream do its work and loosen all the grime, and then scrub away with a cloth of your choosing. You would of course not do this with a wooden high chair, or a high chair with cloth padding, but all other high chairs are fair game. If you do have a high chair with the cloth padding, the padding should come loose, so you could wash it in the washing machine while washing the rest of the high chair in the shower. And hey, if it's really warm outside and you want to get things done really quickly, bring the high chair outside while you're washing the car and let the kids scrub away.
